Publication Ethics
Publication Ethics and Research Integrity
IJAMR is committed to a reliable scholarly record and follows principles consistent with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Ethical concerns are assessed fairly, confidentially and with an opportunity for the affected parties to respond.
Originality and Prior Publication
Submissions must be original, properly cite reused ideas, text, data and images, and must not be under consideration by another journal. Similarity software may assist screening, but editors evaluate the nature and context of overlap; no fixed similarity percentage automatically determines acceptance or rejection.
Authorship and Contributions
Authorship is limited to people who made substantial contributions, approved the final work and accept accountability for it. Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged. Requests to change authorship require an explanation and the agreement of all affected authors.
Competing Interests and Funding
Authors, reviewers and editors should disclose relationships that could reasonably influence the work. If no relevant conflict exists, authors may state “No competing interests.” The journal keeps this requirement proportionate and does not block initial submission over wording that can be completed during editorial processing. Funding sources and the funder’s role should be stated where applicable.
Human and Animal Research
Research involving people, identifiable personal data or animals must comply with applicable ethical standards and report approval, consent and registration details where required.
Data, Images and Research Records
Authors should preserve supporting records and provide a data-availability statement when relevant. Fabrication, falsification, inappropriate image manipulation and selective reporting are prohibited.
Use of Artificial Intelligence
AI tools cannot be authors. Authors remain responsible for accuracy, originality, citations and confidentiality and must disclose substantive generative-AI use in writing or analysis.
Peer Review and Editorial Independence
Review material is confidential. Reviewers must provide objective reports, protect unpublished information and decline assignments with conflicts. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit and integrity; the editor makes the final decision and does not automatically count reviewer votes.
Corrections, Retractions and Concerns
Material errors are corrected transparently. Retractions and expressions of concern follow an evidence-based process. The article landing page, DOI and metadata remain available and are clearly marked and linked to the notice; published records are not silently removed.
Complaints and Appeals
Authors may request reconsideration by explaining a specific procedural or factual concern. Complaints and appeals are handled by an editor not directly involved where feasible. Contact editor@sciencepubco.com.
