About the Journal

Overview

The SPC Journal of Cybersecurity & Digital Privacy (SPCJCDP) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal for research in cybersecurity, information security, and digital privacy. It supports interdisciplinary work that improves the security, privacy, resilience, and trustworthiness of digital systems.

Aims and Scope

The journal welcomes work on network and cloud security; Internet of Things security; artificial intelligence for cybersecurity; cryptography and blockchain security; cyber threat intelligence; malware analysis and digital forensics; secure software engineering; cyber risk management; identity and access management; privacy-enhancing technologies; data protection; cyber resilience; critical infrastructure; and cybersecurity policy and governance.

Article Types

SPCJCDP considers original research articles, review articles, short communications, technical notes, and relevant case studies.

Peer Review

Submissions receive editorial screening for relevance, originality, clarity, and basic ethical requirements. Suitable manuscripts are sent to independent subject experts. Editorial decisions consider the manuscript, reviewer reports, and any author revisions; they are not determined by a fixed vote or similarity percentage alone.

Open Access and Licensing

Published articles are freely available online. Articles published under the current SPC policy use the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Previously published articles retain the license stated at the time of publication unless properly relicensed.

Research Integrity

Manuscripts must be original, properly cited, and not under consideration elsewhere. Similarity reports, when used, are interpreted in context rather than by an automatic percentage threshold. Authors may be asked to explain or correct significant overlap. Relevant conflicts of interest should be disclosed, but a separate competing-interests file is not required to begin a submission.

Corrections and Retractions

The journal follows proportionate, transparent action when concerns arise. Corrections and retractions are issued with a public notice linked to the article record. Content removal is considered only in exceptional legal, privacy, or safety circumstances.
