About the Journal
Aims and Scope
The International Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences (IJBAS) aims to advance scientific knowledge by publishing high-quality, original research in basic and applied sciences. The journal promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, global scientific dialogue, and innovation, fostering a culture of discovery and practical application.
Scope:
IJBAS welcomes submissions in physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, engineering, environmental sciences, computer science, health sciences, and multidisciplinary studies. The journal prioritizes rigorous, impactful research that contributes to scientific understanding and addresses real-world challenges.
Peer Review Policy
IJBAS maintains the highest standards of integrity through a double-blind peer review process:

Initial Screening – Editors assess manuscripts for originality, quality, and relevance to scope.

Reviewer Assignment – Two or more independent experts are invited based on subject expertise, availability, and absence of conflicts of interest.

Evaluation – Reviewers assess originality, methodology, clarity, relevance, ethical standards, and referencing.

Decisions – Possible outcomes: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, Reject. At least two negative recommendations result in rejection.

Revision & Resubmission – Authors must address reviewer comments with a detailed response.

Final Check – Accepted manuscripts undergo final editorial review for formatting, grammar, and compliance.
The journal follows COPE guidelines for ethical peer review and requires disclosure of conflicts of interest by authors, reviewers, and editors.
Open Access Policy
IJBAS is a gold open access journal: all articles are freely available immediately upon publication. Authors retain copyright, and articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), permitting unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction with proper citation.
Archiving
IJBAS ensures permanent availability of all content through the LOCKSS system and the PKP Preservation Network (PN).
Plagiarism Policy
All submissions are screened using iThenticate before peer review.

Overall similarity must be below 25%, excluding references and common phrases.

Single-source similarity must not exceed 5%.
Consequences:

Minor overlap (15–20%): revision required.

Moderate plagiarism (20–30%): rejection.

Severe plagiarism (>30%): rejection or retraction.
If plagiarism is discovered after publication, articles will be retracted following COPE Retraction Guidelines, with a notice issued and linked to the original record.
Corrections and Retractions
IJBAS follows COPE best practices to maintain research integrity:

Corrections (Errata/Corrigenda): for errors not affecting results or conclusions.

Retractions: for major errors, plagiarism, or ethical breaches.

Removals: only in rare legal or safety cases.
All notices are published promptly and remain permanently accessible.
