FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What types of manuscripts does IJBAS consider?

IJBAS considers original research articles, review articles, short communications, technical notes, and case studies that fit the journal's aims and scope.

2. How do I submit a manuscript?

Start your submission through the online submission system. You may save an incomplete submission and return later. Initial submissions are not accepted by email.

3. Which file formats are accepted?

The journal accepts manuscripts prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or LaTeX. For LaTeX submissions, upload the manuscript and the source, bibliography, figure, and supporting files needed to review or compile it.

4. Is a template available?

A Word template is available for authors who prefer it. LaTeX authors may use a clear standard article structure and provide all source files.

5. How do I know that my submission was received?

OJS sends an automatic confirmation after a submission is completed. You can also see the manuscript and its status in your author dashboard.

6. How long does peer review take?

The journal uses double-blind peer review with two or more independent reviewers. Review typically takes 4–8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the number of revision rounds. This is an estimate, not a guarantee.

7. How should I submit revisions?

Before acceptance, upload the revised Word or LaTeX manuscript and a point-by-point response through the submission page in OJS. This keeps the editorial and review record complete.

8. What happens after acceptance?

After acceptance, the corresponding author may send the final Word or LaTeX files to IJBAS@sciencepubco.com. LaTeX packages should include all source, bibliography, figure, and supporting files needed to compile the article. The same final files do not need to be uploaded twice.

9. How much is the article processing charge?

There is no submission fee. The article processing charge is USD 100 and is requested only after acceptance. Payment does not influence editorial decisions or peer-review standards. See the APC policy.

10. Is there a page limit or an extra charge for colour figures?

There is no general page limit for regular manuscripts and no separate publication charge based on colour figures or page count. Optional printed copies or reprints, if requested, are handled separately.

11. May I submit the same manuscript elsewhere?

No. A manuscript must not be under consideration by another journal at the same time. Authors may submit different manuscripts separately.

12. What open-access licence is used?

Published articles are immediately open access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0).

13. Whom should I contact?

For manuscript, decision, or post-acceptance questions, email IJBAS@sciencepubco.com and include the submission ID. For technical problems with OJS, email support@sciencepubco.com.
