About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The International Journal of Advanced Geosciences (IJAG) publishes original research, reviews, and technical studies across the geosciences. Relevant areas include geology, geophysics, geochemistry, hydrogeology, geomorphology, mineralogy, petrology, seismology, geodesy and surveying, remote sensing, geographic information systems, oceanography, atmospheric and climate sciences, soil science, environmental geoscience, and related interdisciplinary work.

Peer Review and Editorial Process

Submissions are screened by an editor for relevance, originality, research integrity, and basic reporting quality. Suitable manuscripts undergo double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent external reviewers. Editorial decisions are based on the reviewers’ reports, the journal’s policies, and the academic merits of the work. Reviewer suggestions and competing-interest statements are optional and requested only when applicable.

A Simple Author Journey

Authors submit the manuscript and essential metadata through OJS. IJAG accepts Microsoft Word manuscripts. Formatting should be clear and consistent, but unnecessary administrative steps are avoided at initial submission. After acceptance, the editable Word source and any final production files may be uploaded in OJS or sent to the editorial office by email when requested.

Open Access, Copyright, and Fees

IJAG provides immediate open access to published content. Authors retain copyright, and articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0). The journal does not charge submission or publication fees.

Discovery and Preservation

Article pages provide structured citation metadata, persistent DOI information, and direct full-text links to support discovery by scholarly search services. Journal records are exposed through OAI-PMH, and the site provides sitemap and preservation support through the OJS platform.
