Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

Follow the steps below to prepare and submit your manuscript. The journal accepts Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) and LaTeX files.

1. Check the journal fit

IJET considers original research articles, review articles, short communications, technical notes, and relevant case studies in engineering and technology. The work must be original, properly cited, approved by all authors, and not under consideration elsewhere.

2. Prepare the manuscript

  • Use clear, professional English.
  • Submit a Word file or LaTeX source. For LaTeX, include the source, bibliography, figures, and any required style files.
  • Include the title, all author names without titles, affiliations, corresponding-author email, and ORCID iDs where available.
  • Provide an abstract of no more than 250 words and 4–6 keywords.
  • Organize the paper using appropriate sections such as Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgements, and References.

3. Figures, tables, equations, and references

  • Cite figures and tables in the text, number them consecutively, and provide clear captions.
  • Define symbols and abbreviations when first used and number referenced equations consecutively.
  • Cite references numerically in square brackets and list them in order of citation. Include DOI links where available.
  • Obtain permission for any copyrighted material reproduced in the manuscript.

4. Provide applicable statements

Disclose any relevant financial, personal, institutional, or professional competing interest. A separate statement is optional when no relevant conflict exists. Include ethics approval, informed consent, data availability, funding, and AI-use statements when applicable to the work.

5. Submit online

Submit through the IJET submission system. Add every author as a contributor using accurate names, affiliations, and email addresses. Reviewer suggestions are optional. You may save an incomplete submission and return later.

6. Revision and acceptance

Respond to reviewer comments point by point and upload a clean revised manuscript. Review time varies with reviewer availability and the revisions required; the journal does not guarantee an acceptance or publication date. After acceptance, final editable source files may be sent to IJET@sciencepubco.com if uploading them is inconvenient; do not submit duplicate versions through multiple routes.

Fees and open access

There is no submission fee. The article processing charge is USD 100 and is requested only after acceptance following peer review. Payment does not influence editorial decisions. Published articles are open access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
